ASSISTANT MANAGER

Job Description

Tasks Involved

• Providing and taking responsibility for a consistent and an awesome customer experience

 •Emulate and promote the “brand”

• Maintaining a working knowledge of the tasting room menu, products, and procedures

• Handling general oversight and direction of team members

• Assisting with hiring, human resources and staff recruitment

• Potentially assisting with staff scheduling

• Assist with the tasting room’s overall operations and their efficiency/ efficacy

• Assuming responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the tasting room

• Assigning/delegating tasks as appropriate to team members

• Training/coaching team members on procedures

• Developing team members’ wine knowledge

• Stocking retail, or delegating accordingly

• Helping develop new procedures/policies

• Rolling out new initiatives and procedures to staff

• Assisting with event development

• Meeting pre-determined sales goals, including revenue targets and wine club signups

• Soliciting private tasting bookings

• Promoting Viva La Vino Club and signing up new wineries

• Ensuring team members complete all procedures properly, including (but not limited to):

• Product knowledge • Excellent Customer Service • Square POS • Suggestive Selling

• Asking customers for identification

• Making staffing decisions based on tasting room traffic patterns

• Balancing the cash register at the end of the night

• Performing other opening/ closing duties

• Ensuring that the tasting room is properly secured at the end of the night

• Filling in when necessary in emergency situations

• Meeting regularly with management to review performance

• And any other duties as deemed necessary by management

Physical Requirements
•  Able to stand in place and walk for long periods of time
•  Able to lift 50 pounds and walk with it
•  Stand, kneel, stoop, bend, lift without any difficulty

KITCHEN MANAGER

Job Description

The Assistant Kitchen Manager will ensure that all Bailey’s Run Vineyard (BRV) guests are provided with the best food experience possible and all responsibilities are conducted in a professional manner.

·      Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to RBV recipes, portioning, cooking and plating standards

·      Foster a positive work culture

·     Manage Food Costs: including ordering, production and weekly inventory. Analyze, identify opportunities, create action plan, communicate and monitor results

·      Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within BRV

·      Lead, manage and deliver a great experience each shift: Oversee preparation, production, presentation, cleanliness, teamwork and safety throughout each shift

·      Shift management of controllable costs: Food, labor and QC

·    Other duties as required

Qualification Requirements:

Prior restaurant experience required

·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral

·      Positive interpersonal skills required 

·      A positive and team-oriented attitude

·      Passion for the kitchen and for producing quality products every day

·      You must be able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods

·      Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

·      Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods

·      Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

·      Must be able to speak and read English

·      Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing and weekends

·      Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong initiative

·      Leadership skills – able to direct and supervise staff.

Salary: Hourly rate dependent on experience

Experience: Kitchen Management: minimum 1 year (Preferred)

BARTENDER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greet all visitors to the winery and pour wines for tasting.
· Create a memorable experience for the guests
· Describe wines and winery history; answer guests’ questions about wines.
· Provide general tourist information
· Handle routine sales transactions which include operating cash register
· Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines
· Assist in maintaining cleanliness of facilities
· Assist with hospitality special events as needed
· Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of winery and its wines
   Perform other duties as assigned by manager
