Our Story

Welcome to Bailey’s Run, where our motto is “Where Wine Goes to Have Fun!”

Nestled in the scenic rolling hills of New Glarus, we are open 7 days a week, year-round! We feature live music every weekend and when you pair that with amazing hand-crafted Wisconsin wines and Neapolitan-style pizza you definitely have the perfect pairing!

Husband and wife team, Todd & Janet planted the first 1,500 vines in 2015 at their home vineyard just outside of New Glarus. They then planted another 1,500 the following year bringing the total vine count to 3,000. At that time we had 5 varietals: La Crescent, Petite Pearl, Leon Millot, Marquette and Frontenac. 

In 2017, they purchased the property where our expansive winery now sits. They planted Edelweiss, Frontenac, and Itasca increasing our varietals and number of vines.

We officially opened our doors on May 18th, 2018! Starting out with 15 different wines; after adding our now head winemaker, Aimee she has masterfully helped us grow to now make 30 different wines that range from white, red & rose’ and dry to sweet as well as oak barrel-aged and even glittery.

No matter what your your style of wine preference is our knowledgeable bar staff is sure to help you find that perfect wine just for you.

Our winery is proudly named after our puppy mascot, Bailey. Bailey was a golden-doodle that mom (Janet) and dad (Todd) lovingly brought home from Fairbault, MN at 8 weeks old. To say that Bailey was the Queen Bee of the winery would be an understatement.

Sadly, we lost Bailey in November of 2024 but her memory will live on through the people she met and lives she touched. Not to mention the delicious wine you all enjoy.
